Strada is a North American specialist manufacturer of lightweight easels and associated products. Twice a year, they run an artists challenge. Participants must produce a painting from life each day for a month. They then post it on Facebook or Instagram. At the beginning of September, there were about 1500 artists from around the world doing the challenge. By the end of the month, this number had reduced to about 900. So, the odds of winning get better toward the bitter end. At the end of the month, those who successfully completed the challenge had their names put in a hat. The hat was actually a big glass jar. They chose a lucky winner at random. This time IT WAS ME! In total they give away five easels plus an assortment of runner up prizes. I will add more to this post when I get the easel!
