“A BODY OF WORK : a medley of contemporary LIFE DRAWING”

WANTED !! YOUR DRAWINGS. . . . from Chris Wood’s past and or present life drawing students |

We are holding an exhibition “ A Body of Work” at the ARTSPACE gallery “gASP” in SOUTHSEA. 18.7.12 – 28.7.12
The show will be curated and hung by Julie Graves and Chris Wood.

Anyone who has attended any of the ARTSPACE drop in life drawing sessions or anyone who has been taught by Chris Wood of Artspace are very welcome to submit work.
To help pay towards the cost of hiring the gallery and the private view we are asking exhibitors to contribute £5 per person – you can submit as many works as you like and it will still be a total cost of only £5 ! |

Work will be accepted in three categories : framed, window mounted on mounting board or simply unframed, to be hung direct on the wall. |

Any Medium, (wet or dry media) any style. All works will be for sale (unless stated otherwise). |

A commission of 50% will be deducted from the selling price. |
|
DELIVERY : All work must be delivered to Artspace 27 Brougham Road Southsea PO5 4PA by the Deadline : 6.00pm 13.7.12 Work must be mirror plated (not D rings) & safely wrapped.
Legal : Whilst we will take every care of work submitted, we cannot accept any responsibility for work that is lost or damaged. |

Photography : This will be a public exhibition however, we would ask members of the public to respect the creators ownership of their copyright – therefore we ask you not to take photos without express permission of the artist. |

13th JULY : DEADLINE for delivery of work to ASP : CHRIS WOOD will be in studio 3 all day 10.00am – 6.00pm to receive work etc

Submission form
Exhibitors are invited to submit up to five framed/unframed drawings. Please ensure that your work is ready to hang by attaching two mirror plates on either side at the back, one third from the top.
Also, print a copy of this form to submit with your work and £5 fee.
Work can be brought to Artspace Studios (no later than) 13th JULY 10 am – 6 pm.
We will endeavour to hang at least two drawings from each exhibitor, probably more. However decisions will be at the discretion of the curators and will be final.

Many thanks for your kind remarks! I must update the blog again very soon – life gets in the way. However, I refuse to include recycled rubbish both in my paintings and my blog !
Paragraph writing is also a excitement, if you know afterward you
can write or else it is complex to write.
I wonder whether you managed to open the entire post or whether you only saw just the preview of the post which is only one paragraph. WordPress and ipads/mobile phones can be fickle. The other day when I suggested that a student looked at my webpage and only part of the menu opened on his phone, whereas on my ipad the entire menu came up and I was able to access “DRAWING” which didn’t even show up on his iphone at all !
As for paragraph writing being “an excitement” I agree ! Being CONCISE and not filling your sentences with rubbish is something I strive to do ! Best Wishes Chris Wood Artist. Words are almost as important as images (but not quite) !
