Gerry Cottles : The cleanest circus in town !

Whilst out on a recent photoshoot I came across this little domestic narrative. What first drew me to the potential of a shot was the bold shapes and colours of the lorries and then the guy on the roof caught my attention. He went from one lorry to the next with brush and pan in hand and swept each in turn. From what I could see from ground level all the vehicles were impecably clean and a credit to their owner,  perhaps their was something in the last shower of rain that I wasn’t aware of !

England is known for its rain and those Cummulo Nimbus clouds looked and were threatening ! This photo was taken on 18.4.12 and its barely stopped raining since ! We had some spectacular showers today and I’m so pleased that I bit the bullet and invested in a new roof !! More on the circus later, when I will share some Alexander Calder inspired wire sculptures with you (Calder – famous for the mobile – began by making wire circus figures). Goodnight for now – I’m off for a bottle of Adnam’s Ale and some strong Cheddar !
