chriswoodartist curates A Body of Work : a medley of contemporary life drawing

Another day another dollar or that’s how the saying goes. . . in my case its another day and fingers crossed – I might sell another print or another commission might come rolling in. It might be nice to complete the commission I’m currently working on but then there are so many distractions. I thought retiring from one of my more time consuming jobs might release a few hours to get on with important stuff but as I have said I seem to have a lot of distractions.

At the moment I’m curating another exhibition (or should be) and it promises to be a good one ! I have had some splendid work delivered so far and promises of more excellent drawings are in the pipeline, which is just as well because the deadline for entries is this coming Friday 13th ! In England, Friday 13th is supposed to be unlucky but as far as I’m concerned its a good omen – I passed my driving test first time round on Friday 13th.The show is primarilly for past students of mine or anyone who have attended any of the Art Space drop in life drawing sessions.

I am looking forward to Monday because I and a band of dedicated followers will be hanging the work on the walls of the gallery at Art Space, Portsmouth. The preview is 6.30 – 8.30 pm on 20th July and I would love to see some new faces. I will take lots of photos and share these with everyone but for now you will have to make do with a few of my quick experiments !
