I was going to enter the National Trust “Open Water” exhibition at Mottisfont, Romsey, Hampshire but ran out of steam and time. Here are a couple of quick studies to “wet” the appetite.
Today is the last day for pre-submissions and I can’t justify the expense of framing, submission, travel etc etc then being told thanks but no thanks or perhaps being hung and not making a sale – I hope this doesn’t sound negative but being an artist is an expensive hobby in these days of double dip recessions !!
Well I’m off to the studio in a minute to get on with my very big and very serious painting – the one that hopefully. . . WILL sell !
