My Australian relatives were delighted to see that we also have eucalyptus trees ! This tree just keeps growing and growing and we have to regularly lop the tops out of the branches to maintain a nice shape and stop the tree from reaching 80 feet high ! I love the textures and colours of the bark and the how the leaves shimmer when the wind picks up. In this photo the warm colours of this little group of leaves were an amazing contrast to their almost turquoise coloured neighbours – and it’s the contrast that I’ll play up – if and when I translate the photo into an oil painting.
I must draw this post to a close as I have a hundred and ten things to do before tomorrow ! Bye 4 now. . .
