Above, the inimitable Andy Cunningham at work on his pastel study of the maritime themed still life. Andy, a professional yachtsman, very kindly contributed a Walker Log (in the box), Sou’wester and Sextant to my collection of flags, chronometer, compasses, assorted brass lamps, flags, a Flying Dutchman Spinnaker and even the side of a classic wooden dinghy !

A lovely double page spread by ©Leslie Jane Craig, whom, in my former job, I used to teach at St Vincent College in Gosport.  Here she is using a variety of coloured markers, resulting in a lively composition !

IMG_2033This was created by my latest student ©Kate Reddy who has only just joined the class and wants to do my EXPERIMENTAL LIFE DRAWING on Tuesday Evenings too ! A glutton for punishment ! A great composition with a good range of smudged mark making creating depth and atmosphere.
