Dolphin gets a new coat
I haven’t been able to get down to see my project boat for far too long but today was the annual general meeting of the Tipner Boating and Angling Club and I felt I had to attend. New committee members were voted in, thanks was given to the outgoing Commodore and after various discussions about the finances, the membership, the compound and the need to raise more funding the meeting drew to a close. I sauntered off to add yet another cover to the numerous layers of multicoloured and storm battered tarpaulins that theoretically protect Dolphin from the elements ! It was quite windy and a rather challenging job to do single handed but I managed to tie the wildly flapping monster down and whilst it doesn’t cover the entire boat – it’s better than what was in place last night ! I’ll need to buy another cover to protect the bow but for now I am moderately happy with my mornings exigencies !
